A so called scientific study shows that if you fight with your spouse you will live longer.

You can read the article here.

I wonder how much the government paid for on this study. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Common sense tells you that when you get into an argument your blood pressure rises, stress builds and it can eventually lead to separation. We all know about the bad affects of high blood pressure and stress, but it has been proven, probably by these same scientists, that married couples live longer.

There is a line in this article that states, “one study revealed when people are angry they tend to make better decisions“. HUH? I would really like to hear these guys explain why we have so many people that are in prison just because they got angry.

What I’d like to know is who are these scientists that are doing these studies? Maybe they all have bad marriages so they come up with this kind of stuff as an excuse to always pick a fight with their spouse.

This is one of the most insane findings to a study that I think I’ve ever seen. I think I understand what they are trying to say. They are trying to say that if you bottle up your anger you will have a shorter life span. However, there are much safer alternatives to this problem than to fight with your spouse.

This article talks about built up anger and releasing it through arguing with your spouse. It doesn’t mention resolving the problem that made you angry in the first place. If you just argue about it you never fix the problem. You just magnify it. Think back to the last argument you had with your spouse. Who was in the right? Who does your spouse think was in the right? It is much better to get the root of the problem resolved before it reaches the point of argument. Have these guys ever heard of talking?

Well I hate to cut this post short but I have to go fight with the wife.
