I know, this is old news, but I just got done reading an article where they interviewed Byron Morris about his time spent at Leavenworth. You can read the article here. It looks Michael Vick is in for a tough 23 months. Personally I think he deserves it. Not only was he stupid for ruining his career, but I have to say I’m also a dog lover.
The prisons are full of people who have made bad choices in their lives. Most come from a tough background. Most come from a poverty level household. Most were committing a crime due to what they thought was necessary. But what makes a celebrity go bad?
You see it happen all of the time. Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Martha Stewart, O. J. Simpson, and many more. They have it all. Fame. Money. What goes on in their mind that makes them do something so stupid?
For Martha’s case it really boiled down to greed. Being a millionaire just wasn’t enough for her. Paris and Britney? I would blame that on maturity. They just weren’t ready to handle all of the fame and money. But for Michael Vick I have to say I’m stunned. I haven’t got a clue what would posses someone like him to through so much away.
The article says that he was into drugs. Maybe that was the root of it? Maybe he was just sitting around with a few of his friends smoking a joint and said “Hey, let’s do something really stupid”. Well for what he did to those poor dogs I hipe he get’s everything he deserves.
I wonder if he’s been asked to put on that cheer leading uniform by his new roommate yet. hmmmm
